Use Flex mode and the touchpad on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6

You’ll need to enable the Flex mode panel on your Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 before you can use it.

1. Navigate to and open Settings, then tap Advanced features, and then tap Flex mode panel.
2. Tap the switch at the top to turn on the panel. Then, adjust the following options on this screen:
   
   • Auto show panel when folded: Select the apps that will include a Flex mode panel. Tap the switch(es) next to your desired app(s).
   • Scroll wheel position: Select Off, Left, or Right.
   • Touchpad gesture help: View touchpad gesture tutorials.
3. Next, tap Auto show panel when folded. From here, you can select the apps that will use Flex mode. Tap the switch(es) next to your desired apps, or tap the switch next to All supported apps to select all of them. To learn more about opening apps in Flex mode, please see the last section in this article.
4. Tap Back, and then tap Scroll wheel position to choose Off, Left, or Right. This will determine the location of the scroll wheel option in Flex mode.

Once the Flex mode panel has been turned on, it’s time to experiment with the touchpad!

1. While your phone is open, navigate to and open your desired app.
2. Then, fold your phone halfway to launch Flex mode, and set it down on a solid surface, like a table. You can also hold it upright with your hands. The app window will appear on the top portion of the screen, and the controls will appear on the bottom portion.
3. You can use the controls to open the Notification panel, take screenshots, and navigate the screen with your finger. Tap the touchpad icon (it looks like a hand) to begin navigating the app.
   
4. A cursor guide will appear; simply drag your finger around the touchpad and tap your desired items to select them.
5. Tap More options (the three horizontal dots) near the bottom of the touchpad to adjust Flex mode settings, including the brightness and volume. Tap Settings to open the main Flex mode panel menu.
   
6. You can close Flex mode by unfolding your phone or by tapping the two arrows in the bottom left corner of the bottom screen. Tap the Flex mode icon (the phone) to open Flex mode again.
   

If you're not using the Flex mode panel, you can open supported apps simultaneously in Multi window. You can open up to three apps on the Galaxy Z Flip6 and four apps on the Galaxy Z Fold6.

1. While your phone is open, navigate to and open your desired app. Then, fold your phone halfway to launch Flex mode.
2. Tap the first icon on the touchpad panel to open the Apps screen. Swipe up or down to find an app, and then select it. That app will open in the bottom portion of the screen in split screen view.
   
3. When in split screen view, you can use the blue dividers between the apps to adjust the window size.
4. You can also open apps using the Edge panel, which is located on the right side of the screen. Swipe left on the Edge panel handle, and then touch and drag your desired app into the center of the screen to open it in pop-up view. However, dragging the app into the top or bottom portions of the screen will replace the currently opened app on that screen.
5. When in pop-up view, you can move the windows around using the blue divider at the top. If you need a larger view, tap the blue divider, and then tap the expand icon (the arrow).
   
6. To close an app, tap the blue divider at the top of the app’s window, and then tap the X icon.
