How to clean and care for a Samsung air purifier

How to clean and care for a Samsung air purifier
Clean the pre-filter
The pre-filter is located behind the rear panel and will need to be cleaned every two weeks, especially if the air purifier is used daily.
- Remove the pre-filter from the inside of the device. Carefully vacuum the filter, and then rinse it in lukewarm water.
- Keep the pre-filter in a shaded area away from direct sunlight so it can dry. Do not reinsert the pre-filter until it has dried completely.
Clean the exterior
Although the pre-filter will trap most pollutants and debris, the exterior of the air purifier may collect dust or become dirty. The outside panels and sensors should be cleaned as well.
- Remove the front and rear panels by pulling forward. Then, wipe them down with a damp cloth.
- Use a cotton swab to clean the small grooves in the panels.
- If the panels are layered with dust, you can rinse them with water. Make sure the panels are dry before reattaching and using the device.
- Particles of dust can sometimes cling to the sensors on the side of the device. You can use a small vacuum to gently clean around the sensors.
Purchase replacement filters
If you like using your air purifier every day, the filters will need to be replaced every six months. The filters may last up to one year if the device is not running daily, but you should check them often for heavy dust buildup.
Since the deodorization filters and dust collecting filters cannot be cleaned, they must be replaced with new filters. These can be found on Samsung’s website.
