Track your workouts with the Galaxy Fit3

Let the Galaxy Fit3 act as your personal workout assistant. It can help you keep track of your activity, calories burned, active time, and more. It can even track your elevation with its built-in barometer.

Track your workouts with the Galaxy Fit3

Note
You cannot navigate to the barometer specifically, but you can see the lowest and highest elevation for your workouts by viewing the specific workout details. Elevation is shown in the Samsung Health app under workout details or under Map and chart.

Track a workout

Start a workout manually

  1. On your Fit3, swipe up to open apps.
  2. Tap Health to open the Samsung Health app.
  3. Tap Exercise, and then tap the type of workout you want to start.Galaxy Fit3 showing exercise list
  4. Once you're finished, you can swipe right on your watch and then tap Finish to end the tracking.

Auto-track workouts

Your Fit3 will automatically detect and track your workouts as long as you have the setting enabled. 

  1. Navigate to Settings, and then tap Health.
  2. Scroll to and tap Activities to detect.
  3. Make sure the switch at the top is toggled on, and then tap the switch next to each type of exercise you want to auto-track. The options are:
    • Walking
    • Running
    • Elliptical trainer
    • Rowing machine
    • Pool swim
    • Dynamic workout
    • Alert

Note: Auto-detection will not begin immediately. It must detect several minutes of activity first.

Start a workout from your phone

  1. On your phone, open the Samsung Health app.
  2. Tap the Exercise tracker.
  3. Tap the exercise type you want to begin.
  4. Tap Start. Your Galaxy Fit3 will start tracking your workout. You can end it from either your phone or your Fit3.

On the Fit3

  1. Swipe up and tap the Health app.
  2. Tap Workouts this week.
  3. Tap on a specific workout to view its details, such as distance, total time, calories burned, average heartrate, and elevation.

On your phone

  1. Open the Samsung Health app.
  2. Tap Workouts this week. 
  3. Tap on a specific workout to view its details.
