Use apps on your Samsung Smart TV and projector

Use apps on your Samsung Smart TV and projector
Install and use apps
One of the best parts of having a Samsung Smart TV or projector is getting access to all of the available apps. You can access your favorite video streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, or Vudu. You also have access to music streaming apps like Spotify and Pandora. And just so you know, access to new apps will be occasionally added through software updates.
- From the Home screen, navigate to and select Apps, then the Search icon in the top-right corner.
- Enter the app you want to download, select it, and then select Install. The app will now download.
- Press Home to go to the Home screen menu. Navigate to your newly downloaded app to open it.
- If the app is not listed in the Home menu, use the directional pad to select Apps, and then select the app you want. You can add apps to your Home screen by going to Apps, select Settings in the upper right corner, highlighting your desired app, and then select Add to Home.
Automatically update apps
When you set your apps to Auto Update, you won't have to worry about updating them again. Let your Smart TV or projector take care of it for you.
- Press Home to open the Home screen menu.
- Navigate to Apps, then scroll down and select App Settings.
- Select Auto Update and set it to ON. The circle will show as blue when it's enabled.
Lock and unlock apps
Don't want your kids accidentally watching an inappropriate movie? Just lock the apps you don't want them to access. When you do this, a PIN will be required to open the app.
- Press Home to open the home screen.
- Navigate to Apps, then scroll down to App Settings.
- Select the app you want, then select Lock or Unlock.
Delete an app
You can remove apps you no longer want and free up storage space on your Smart TV or projector.
- Press Home to open the Home screen menu.
- Navigate to Apps, then scroll down to App Settings.
- Select the app you want to delete, then select Delete, and then Delete again.
Remove an app from the Home screen
- From the Home screen, navigate to the app you want to remove.
- Press and hold Select over the app, then select Remove.
- Select Remove again to confirm. You can also move the app to another location by selecting Move.
