There is smoke or an odor coming from Samsung oven
Samsung oven door is locked
As a safety precaution, your Samsung range's door will lock when the oven gets too hot. This is to prevent any possible injuries. If your oven is cool, then you may have Child Lock turned on or need to power cycle the range to unlock the door.
Samsung oven door is locked
1
Allow the oven to cool down.
When the range is too hot, the door will lock.
2
Power on the range.
On some models, the door will also lock when the range is powered off. Simply turning it on and waiting a moment may disengage the lock.
3
Check if any of the buttons work.
If the range powers on, but none of the buttons seem to work, then the door may be locked along with the panel. See our guide for more information.
4
Power cycle the range at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, and then power it back on.
If the door is still locked, a power cycle may unlock it.
5
Request service.
If the door remains locked after the previous steps, visit our Support Center to request service.

Self Clean or other buttons do not light up or respond, or panel is locked on Samsung oven
The control panel on your Samsung range or wall oven will lock if it is running certain functions, such as Self Clean, Twin Cooking, or Temperature Probe. Also, some controls are only available when using (or not using) other functions. This is to protect the oven from excessive heat or children who may accidentally touch the oven.
An icon appears on my Samsung oven display
Icons are a quick and easy way to get information about what's going on in your oven, but they're not that useful if you don't know what they mean. If you see an icon and want to know what your oven is trying to say, you can refer to our list below.
